I first began the Strawberry Pumpkin by creating dolls made out of pots, house numbers, and decorative flower pots. Though enjoyable, they weren't my true passion. When the store where I sold my creations closed, I faced a crossroads, unsure of what to create next but determined to keep crafting and spreading joy.

In 2023, a heartfelt encounter changed everything. I saw a checkout lady at the grocery store, visibly upset and struggling to do her job. I asked if she was okay, and when she said no, I gave her a hug. She thanked me, saying that hug meant the world to her. This moment stayed with me, making me realize how a simple act of kindness could profoundly impact someone's day, no matter how small.

After losing my husband at the end of 2021, I found myself in a dark place, struggling with everyday tasks and social interactions. During this time I realized how much a small gesture, like receiving a thoughtful card, could have lifted my spirits. I wanted to create a way for others to experience that unexpected joy and connection, no matter what they were going through.

That’s when the idea for The Strawberry Pumpkin cards was born. These cards are not just for special occasions; they are for those moments when someone needs a reminder that they are not alone, that kindness exists, and that there is always a reason to smile. I hope these cards bring comfort, joy, and a touch of light to anyone who needs it, just as a simple hug once did for a stranger in a grocery store.
